WATERBORNE

Waterborne is a short film with the running time of under 10 minutes that is about a Park Ranger in Australia that finds a zombie kangaroo. It is directed by Ryan Coonan and produced by Marisa Brown. It is from Octopod films and Veritas Productions. It has screened at over fifty festivals and has won awards such as official selection fantasia and best austrialian short at moster fest. This film shows another purpose for short films as it asks as a prequel for a feature film that is currently being developed. I liked one of the shots through the trees, it pans down from the blue night sky to the orange and red sunset. It signifies the danger and threat that is immenent in the genre of this horror film.

Another thing I picked up on is one of the transitions between day and night that happens after the man is mauled by the kangaroo. The camera focuses on the torch of the man and then the first shot fades to black and then into a longer shot which still focuses on the torch.
