ROLES IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY

 

I thought it would be useful to look into everyone who is involved in making a film as Beth and I will have to fulfill these roles. Beth will also be acting so a large amount of the production element will be undertaken by me. I will do lots of the Cinematography, but both Beth and I will be doing Sound and Production Design. 

 

 

 

 

Pre-Production: Preparing all the parts in the film, the research, planning, getting actors and locations etc.

Director                     (1st Assistant Director, Casting Director)

 

 

Production: The filming of the raw footage of the film

 

Production Design  (Production Designer, Set Decorator, Props Master,

                                   Costume Designer, Key Makeup Artist, Key Hairstylist)

 

Sound                      (Sound Designer, Boom Operator, Sound Mixer)

 

Cinematography   (Cinematographer/D.O.P, Camera Operator, Clapper

                                   Loader/Second Assistant Camera, Gaffer (Head Electrician),

                                   Best Boy, Key Grip)

 

 

Post-Production: The editing of the image, sound and visual effects of the film

 

Editing               (Editor, Supervising Editor, Titles Designer)

 

Sound               (Supervising Editor, Sound Effects Editor,

                           Foley Artist (recreate ambient sounds),

                           Music Supervisor, Composer)

 

Special Effects (VFX Supervisor, Technical Director, Visual Effects Artist, Animator)
