I noticed that nearly all of these photos had one big feature photo of the film in the review. I also noticed that they were mostly two pages long, but for some of these the second page just had the feature photo. I saw that many had a specific colour scheme, making titles, lines and boxes the same colour. They follow the column format with some picked out key quotations that are eyecatching. Many of them also had subtitles of the section, for example a cinema section. The title is bold and clear and often had some form of tagline underneath the main title. The review is a critical analysis of the film but can also be a promotional tool to raise awareness of the film. Sometimes film reviews are part of a magazine that features lots of different articles, sometimes whole magazines are dedicated to film reviews, for example the very famous 'Empire' magazine. It often includes a brief overview of the film, that is careful not to give the ending away, as then people would be discouraged from watching the film. It can also include technically features of the film, such as running time, where it will be shown or the rating of the film. They often have a scoring system like a five star rating or a rating out of ten.
